"Today's the Day"~Mel Fisher
Currently working on nailing down a map for the marketing tour of this Documentary. I always think it's amusing when people say, "You should make a film about..." or "You should....________", my typical response is, "That's a great idea, why don't you?". Same will likely go for this route, I can assure you, there is always a method to my madness.
Roughly 16,000 miles, not including Alaska, which we'll be flying to Denali and staying for a month in the summer.
I can assure you I will be backtracking at one point or another along the way, it will seem extraneous but likely end up being the best way to go about it.
Art and life is totally subjective and same for the style of how each person goes about creating and experiencing it. Having a learning "Difference" is a bit of a blessing ad a curse and I'm ultimately grateful that I DO think differently. Sometimes, it's a bit of a hassle but in the long run it has forced me to overcompensate in other areas of my life and maybe this is the reason I "get to" life the life I do. Before I get off on a tangent about some deep philosophical theory, I really just wanted to share with you the 1st leg of the tour, certainly subject to change because at this point, I'm creating a rough sketch merely to start figuring out where would be best weather to have outdoor screenings along the way.
I've added some stops here in Louisiana and Texas because I was born and Raised in Dallas and lived in these places several years during the making of this project and have some good friends who have been waiting a very long time (over 10 years) to see this project come to life!
